Aotearoa 05/03/2010
![]() Aotearoa - The Land of the Long White Cloud. New Zealand, it is also the land of hot water beaches, bubbling mud and authentic unspoiled beauty. Landing in Auckland for the first few days, feeling the shift of being on the road again, the unknown adventure which lies ahead. Driving out of the city in our rental van, the beauty around us starts to unfold and appear before our eyes. Mountains as tall as sky scrapers, lakes as clear and as blue as a summers days sky and a coast line scattered with small towns with out a commercial building in site. Its good to know a place like this still exists in a world full of chain stores and corporations. Each night we camped in our van with the sky light open in the roof so we could see the stars, doing this made us feel so small falling asleep under the milky way feeling like a spec of glittery sand. The days were blessed with an abundance of national parks, waterfalls and natural beauty. After crossing over into the south island we drove through Arthur's Pass and landed in Christ Church where i attended a 3 day intensive with Donna Farhi, i will leave you with a quote from her book "Bring Yoga to Life: The Everyday Practice of Enlightened Living" - “Living in this dynamic ground of being, we become more, not less, of who we are. We do not become watered-down versions of our former self, a bland monotone. Rather, this radical process called Yoga asks us to live without solidifying our viewpoint or fixing our point of reference. ” Magic! Comments Your comment will be posted after it is approved.
