When i make a commitment to something, about 99% of the time I see it through to the end with an open, enthusiastic heart. If there is anything that creates a diversion along the way I ensure my communication to the wider community is clear and up to date with what is happening in my flow. But what happens if your interactions with the wider community are not reflected back to you? Being a lover and a devotee to what I pour my entire being into, including projects, events and different situations, sometimes (more than often recently) I have had to draw the line and reply, all freebies have expired. No more saying "yes" to offering only one hour of my time and energy for something which in the end there is no appreciation for on a larger scale. Being a natural born teacher I love to share and inspire others, so this new way of stepping back and away from all opportunities that come my way is going to be challenging. Just like knowing how much you're worth and boldly asking for it in the beginning. So many questions have risen in the past few weeks, especially, how do you put currency on a energy exchange? My energy / time for your advertising space, which is worth X amount. Our time, energy and availability is so precious but if you're anything like me, I have a tendency to flutter around filling in, covering, turning up, setting up and being there just in case the need arises but in the mean time letting other perception shape my worth.
Whatever you teach, share or create is part of you and I believe there needs to be some sort of fair and agreed exchange regardless of the situation. But what happens when you are left feeling under-appreciated and under-valued? You can build up your good Karma bank account in more ways than one, but please ensure you have a freebies expire date because at the end of the day your worth way more then what your asking for.
